Product Research & Sourcing Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Research and Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the successful launch of new products by conducting thorough research, identifying reliable suppliers, and ensuring the highest standards of quality for our offerings.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Research:

   • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and potential gaps in the market that align with our business goals.
   • Analyze competitor products to understand market positioning and differentiation opportunities.
   • Collaborate with the marketing team to gather insights into customer needs and preferences.

2. Supplier Identification and Evaluation:

   • Identify and establish relationships with potential suppliers and manufacturers that align with our business values and product requirements.
   • Evaluate suppliers based on factors such as product quality, reliability, and ethical business practices.
   • Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

3. Sampling and Quality Assurance:

   • Coordinate the sampling process to ensure the quality and functionality of products meet our standards.
   • Work closely with suppliers to address and resolve any quality issues during the sampling phase.
   • Implement and maintain a rigorous quality assurance process for all sourced products.

4. Cost Analysis and Budget Management:

   • Conduct cost analysis to determine the feasibility and profitability of sourcing specific products.
   • Manage budgets related to sourcing, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining product quality.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain detailed records of suppliers, product specifications, and all relevant documentation.
   • Generate regular reports on sourcing activities, including progress, challenges, and potential opportunities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in product research, sourcing, and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Islamic faith-based products and market trends is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
